The Scores App solves these pain points by offering a streamlined, social, and interactive experience, catering to users who value simplicity and community connection.

03. Design Process

The Scores App followed a structured design process aimed at prioritizing user needs:

  1. Competitive Analysis:

    • Analyzed competitors like ESPN and Bleacher Report.

    • Identified their strengths, such as variety in sports coverage, and weaknesses, including lack of social and community features.

  2. Target Audience Research:

    • Conducted interviews with six participants aged 19–29.

    • Uncovered user frustrations, such as lack of interactive features and irrelevant notifications.

  3. Persona Development:

    • Developed personas based on findings, such as Rodrigo, a busy professional who needs quick access to scores for his favorite teams and values staying connected with his sports-loving friends.

  4. Wireframing & Prototyping:

    • Created low-fidelity wireframes to map out navigation flows and layouts.

    • Refined designs through iterative high-fidelity prototypes based on user feedback.

  5. Usability Testing:

    • Tested prototypes with participants to assess ease of use, clarity, and feature relevance.

    • Iterated on designs to address concerns and improve the user experience.
