About Noor
I'm a UX Designer and Researcher finishing my Master's in Information Design & Strategy at Northwestern University. My work lives at the intersection of systems thinking and human behavior — figuring out why people struggle with digital products and building experiences that actually reduce that friction.
Before Northwestern, I interned at Twitter/X where I worked across design and research on the Bookmarks feature — running usability sessions, building prototypes, and presenting findings to product and engineering stakeholders. For two years I have also been the sole UX Designer and Researcher for Nood Coffee, a Chicago brand whose clients include Meta, BCG, and the Chicago Bears.

The Story
I came to UX through a question I couldn't stop asking: why do so many digital products make smart people feel confused or anxious? That question turned into a career.
My design practice is grounded in research. Before I touch a wireframe, I want to understand the mental models, constraints, and contexts that shape how people actually behave — not how we assume they do. I hold a BA in Design with a minor in Computer Science from Lewis University, which means I can speak both design and engineering.
At Twitter/X, I contributed to the Bookmarks feature — working inside a large, fast-moving organization with real constraints and real stakeholders. At Northwestern, I built Clime — a full iOS mentorship app with AI matching, goal tracking, and community features — as a solo 10-week project. At Nood Coffee, I've had full ownership of a client mobile app from research through delivery.
I'm currently looking for early-career UX roles in Chicago — hybrid or remote — where I can bring research rigor and design execution to a product team that cares about getting things right.
